Measuring in at 3 studs wide with a lip on each side to allow for a grip when placed between two platforms, it's a surprisingly versatile piece for something so specific. One can even go the extra mile and loop string (as pictured) or chain through the opening in the top to make for a truly lifelike guillotine mechanism. As a bonus, it's even able to be held by a minifigure's hands on the top if you have any madmen who love to run around with an oversized blade, work place safety be damned.
