Probably one of the cooler names for a gun. This gun's name actually has Dutch origins, translating to Thunder Pipe. That's one way to put it! With it's flared design, the Blunderbuss was the precursor to shotguns, effective at short distance but pretty useless for targets at range. Still, as a custom LEGO gun, it's perfect for Colonial/Pirate builds and, as reviewer Quellist describes in his 5-star review, has a bit of versatility to it: 

"Great design, and the barrel is equal to a bar diameter, so accessories/parts can be clipped to it. Why yes I did attach an axeblade, why do you ask?"
