Today's Custom LEGO Weapon of the Week is dedicated to Shaka Zulu! The Iklwa, named for the alleged sound it made when pulled from the torso of its victim, was created by the great African Warrior, Shaka Zulu. Although spears were common for tribal warfare, their impact was limited. This all changed with the newer, deadlier design by Shaka was created. In fact, even the dawn of firearms did not discourage use of these weapons, even after they encountered firearms, the Zulu shunned them in favor of the iklwa, as they believed that the slow reload times of the British muskets allowed for them to rush in with their iklwa's and dispatch the enemy gunmen.
