LEGO Gun of the Week - Mini Uzi by @gd_rasse
1st Aug 2017
Stop the presses! I just discovered the LEGO gun I didn't even know I was looking for! I present to you, the LEGO mini uzi (insert appropriately humorous emoticon here). What makes this build by Instagrammer @gd_rasse so great? Well, it's a miniature version, and it's multi-colored. So all in all, this particular LEGO gun is fun and isn't looking to be taken too seriously. Before I say anymore regarding this Uzi, let's learn about the gun that inspired it. The Uzi has its origins in post WWII Israel. It is an open-bolt, blowback operated submachine gun. Owning one of these suckers isn't cheap! If you're able to legally fire it (or own it) where you live, you'll be investing an awful lot in 9mm Parebellum, because it fires 600 rounds per minute. That sounds really fun, but at the same time, you wouldn't have any remaining target to take home to prove the fun you had. That Swiss-cheese-ability is one of many reasons this gun was so popular at the height of its fame. In the mid to late 20th century, more Uzis were sold to military, law enforcement, and security markets than any other submachine gun ever made. If you thought this build was as great as I did, check out @gd_rasse's Instagram for more fun builds. Nice work!
