LEGO MOC of the Week - LEGO Samurai Code by Ben Pitchford

14th Jul 2016

This week's MOC of the week is almost as breathtaking in LEGO form as it would be if you happened upon a real-life version of this scene. This masterpiece was on display at Brickworld Chicago last month where it won Best Individual Layout for its builder, Ben Pitchford. The beautiful scene features beautiful Japanese architecture, cherry blossoms, waterfalls, Samurai, a volcano (not pictured), and a stunning mountain. Even cooler is that parts of the MOC light up. Ben was nice enough to include two Samurai dressed in BrickWarriors Samurai equipment for his MOC. If you look really closely, the two guards on either side of the building in the center are wearing BrickWarriors Samurai HelmetsArmor, and Kusazuri and they are holding Naginatas.

Ben has even bigger plans for this MOC as he has submitted part of the MOC to the LEGO Ideas website. The LEGO Ideas submission includes a realistic model of ancient Japanese architecture, like the structures in the MOC, a cherry blossom tree like the ones in the pictures, and Samurai minifigures.

To check out Ben's LEGO Ideas page and support it go here. Ben already has an impressive 1800 supporters. An idea needs 10,000 supporters in order to qualify for a review by LEGO to possibly be picked for an actual LEGO set.
