Do you know anything about the phalanx? A phalanx is a military formation in which the soldiers stand nearly shoulder to shoulder to form an impenetrable human barrier. In front of each row of soldiers would be interlocking shields, and forward pointing spears. The phalanx was a highly effective battle tactic in ancient armies (if you doubt me, just research the Battle of Thermopylae). Ali added some thoughtful touches in this particular MOC including Spartan Capes, a custom paint job, and a touch of gore on one unfortunate soul who, apparently, is bearing the burden of this fight.
