Up, up, and away! Who knew LEGO® bricks could take flight?! Team Dark Orange, that's who! Flickr user Brother Steven created yet another fantastical build with plenty of technical skill and whimsy! If you haven't seen his work before, you should take a look now! This slightly steampunk MOC caught our eye thanks to the black Top Hat in the hand of a guy who appears to be climbing aboard the basket of this hot air balloon ride. Whoa there buddy, that's a risky maneuver! But if you look, closely, the motley crew does appear to have packed the basket pretty full. On a more technical side, one fan of pointed out some of the elements that make this really great: "...that curved panel part [was] used really well: the larger dish at the top, along with the wheel and pennant helps to 'flatten' off the top of the form; the chain encircling the lower part also helps reduce the apparent height of the balloon, again, giving it better proportions. Finally, by using the black 'rope' pieces, you've avoided using ladders or bars to connect the balloon to the basket, making the entire build much 'lighter' and believable." We agree!
