We're viewing this week's featured MOC at a funky angle. But that doesn't mean it's funky-looking. This MOC by Jake (@legojc on Instagram) depicts the Battle of Tanagra. This was a real battle that happened in 457 BC during the First Peloponnesian War. It was a battle between Athens and Sparta and it resulted in a Spartan victory.

I think it's safe to assume that the minifigure Spartans are the ones wearing Spartan Helmets with Spartan Plumes and holding Spartan Shields. The Athenian in the front line on the right is wearing a Celestial Crown. And the terrified dude up in the tower is playing a Battle Horn.
