LEGO MOC of the Week - Undead Ambush by Lordanthul
31st Dec 2015
How about a battle with the undead to finish off 2015?! This is the second week in a row we've featured MOC builder Lordanthul, and with quality like this, you can see why. Titled, Undead Ambush, this dark, gritty MOC depicts what is basically the medieval version of The Walking Dead.
(Side note: Isn't it kind of funny to think that people would have been much better prepared to deal with a Walkind Dead-like apocalypse in Medieval times? People back then were used to hunting for their food, and not having electricity and running water. Also, you wouldn't live within a 50 mile radius of millions of people/potential walkers like those of us who live near big cities today. Of course they would not have guns and the knowledge of modern medicine, but I'm still gonna give medieval Rick and Darryl the edge here. Side note over.)
In this MOC, Medieval Rick Grimes, (let's call him Richard Clean now that he's a fancypants knight) is fending off an attack from some well armored and quite undead skeletons. Armed with the BrickWarriors custom LEGO sword, the Flamberge, Richard might have a chance. If he's anything like his modern day counterpart, I would bet on him. Unlike Rick Grimes, Richard has some very nice armor to protect him with the BrickWarriors Plate Armor and City Watch Tassets.
Once again, Lordanthul does a beautiful job of customizing these BrickWarriors pieces and the non-BrickWarriors accessories as well. Disclaimer: Lordanthul had nothing to do with this random tangent on The Walking Dead or the name Richard Clean, but you should definitely check out more of his work on his Flickr page here.
