Riddle of Regicide Review

21st Dec 2014

HighonBricks wrote up a fantastic review for Riddle of Regicide.  Check it out:

"So, a while ago, Ryan and I were talking, and he mentioned that he was working on writing a book. He said it would be a fun way to expand the variety of things Brickwarriors has to offer. I loved the idea, and I’m super excited to be able to do a review of the book now that it is finally released.

I'll try to keep this review reletively short so you guys don't have to read too much

Story:

The book starts out as any normal book would. There’s a slow build for a few pages and then suddenly BAM, the story takes off. The basic concept of the story is that the main character, Draxin, has lost his memory, and is looking to find who he truly is, all while trying to save King Thalen from being assassinated by the thieves guild. While doing so, Draxin runs into a variety of locations, and characters. The thing I think really impressed me the most, was the detail of the different settings in the book. It really made the story come to life. The storyline is quite fast paced, and the slow points are equally balanced with times of intense action, making the story flow quite well altogether

Characters:

The characters were another part of the story that I really liked. The development of all the different characters added a lot to the storyline. Some of the characters I even recognized from the customs he has made in the past. I'm sure when you read the book, you'll like them as much as I did.

Ending:

Well, I can't just go and spoil it for you, lol!

I'll just say this: The ending is quite a shock, that even I didn't see coming!

Final thoughts:

Altogether I’d say that this book is a definite read. I’m personally not a huge fan of medieval fantasy type novels, but I still couldn’t put this book down :)

Fantastic job, Ryan! I can’t wait to read the second book when it’s finished!

Guys, I seriously suggest picking this book up if you have the time. You can find it on Amazon and on Ryan's site. The Ebook is only 2.99! That's like the cost of a cup of coffee! (And you'll get more enjoyment out of this book, than a cup of coffee)"
