The Brick Connection – A novice Lego fan explores the great brick world of LEGO
Happy Holidays LEGO fans!! Too soon?
Okay it’s definitely too soon for holiday music and decorations, but I think it’s the perfect time to start thinking about holiday shopping. If you take care of it this month, then you can have a nice relaxing December and laugh at all the silly people scrambling to get their shopping done.
This week’s post will be short and to the point. The holidays coming up means a busy time at BrickWarriors so I don’t have a lot of time to sit around and wax poetic about all things LEGO.
Now let’s be honest. The holidays are obviously a time you give presents to others, but it’s also a great time to give presents to yourself. There are new releases and a lot of great deals and everyone is in a great mood! Everyone who’s not a scrooge at least. Since many of you are probably more interested in buying LEGO for yourself than anyone else, this blog post is for you.
I have created a helpful little LEGO holiday shopping guide. Here are some current and upcoming deals having to do with LEGO.
Remember last week when I talked about how awesome LEGO’s new video game, LEGO Dimensions is? Well it is currently on sale at Toys R Us and toysrus.com for 84.99. That is a $15 discount!
And right now you can get 50% off any LEGO Dimensions Fun Pack when you buy any LEGO Dimensions Team or Level Pack.
The Fun packs are the ones that aren’t completely necessary to the game though, so I guess the greatness of this deal depends on how much you care about growing your LEGO Dimensions collection.
Go here for all the Toys R Us LEGO Dimensions deals.
Also at Toys R Us, if you are actually reading this post on
the day it was posted (Nov. 12, 2015) then this Saturday, Nov. 14th
there is a fun little in-store event. From 12pm-2pm kids can build and then
take home an exclusive Mini LEGO Star Wars X-Wing Starfighter FOR FREE! This is
happening at all Toys “R” Us stores, so go check it out if you can.
Find more information about this event and others go here.
And here is one last thing about Toys “R” Us: Black Friday
deals!
Unfortunately for Toys “R” Us employees, Black Friday actually starts on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26th at 5pm.
For those that actually like to enjoy time with their family on the Thanksgiving holiday, these LEGO deals that I’m telling you about last through that Saturday while supplies last.
On Black “Fursday” at Toys “R” Us, all LEGO Galaxy Squad sets will be 50% off. Now if I’m being honest, I don’t know what LEGO Galaxy Squad is, but it sounds like a very good deal.
Also on sale at Toys “R” Us that weekend will be LEGO Castle Dragon Mountain and LEGO City Heavy-Duty Helicopter. Both are normally $54.99, but they will be on sale for $34.99 each. Score!
I found this information on page 7 of the Toys “R” Us Black Friday Ad, which you can see below. Click on the picture for a link to the webpage
I also found some good deals on LEGO at Target. Target’s
Black Friday starts at 6pm on Thanksgiving. (Someone really needs to get these
stores a days of the week calendar.)
While quantities last you can get LEGO Creator, Movie and City building sets for $55, which they claim is a savings of over 30%.
Also at Target, if you don’t mind waiting till “Black Thanksgiving Evening,” you can save another $5 off of the LEGO Dimensions starter pack, which will be sold for $79.99 that day/weekend while supplies last. (Again, the starter pack is normally $99.99 and the sale at Toys “R” Us for $84.99 is going on right now.)
Go here for the Target Weekly Ad for Black Friday or check it out below. LEGO Dimensions is on page 8 and the other deals can be seen on page 15.
Oh and one more thing! You can also find BrickWarriors packs
at Toys “R” Us! They are not on sale, but at $3.49 a pack you get 5 or 6 pieces.
This is a great deal considering how much you would have to pay for each individual
piece from our website. Waves 1 and 2 are currently selling at many stores
around the country and Wave 3 will be coming soon. Check them out! Here they
are on the Toys “R” Us website:
So believe it or not, that concludes this week’s The Brick
Connection. I hope I was able to help at least one person get a good deal on
some LEGO. I’ll keep an eye out over the next several weeks for any other deals.
Let me know if any of you find anything good.
Until next time…shop till you drop...or just click a few buttons on your computer and chill.
*Compliments, general feedback, and constructive criticism are welcome. Any haters that are gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate can go step on some Lego with their bare feet.*
