It is a great scale for minifigures and can easily be painted for more detail.

The German garrison cap works well for officers or for enlisted. I am considering painting a white dot on the insignia patch on the front for my officer. The angle gives it a nice look on my minifigs head. This is worth it for a German army if you don't want to buy regular helmets.
This hat is perfect for German WWII figures and futuristic figures like a starship crew. I have picked them up in all the currently available colors. I would love to see them in blue, red and green to outfit different branches in a crew. Buy some you won't regret it.
