The Philistine helmet is a nice light-weight helmet that your more primitive warrior minifigures can wear to help survive a bit longer during combat.
This piece features nice neck protection in the back, spikes around the rim to punish your opponents for misplaced attacks, and a stud on top to attach the Philistine plume for extra style.

Great to have accessories for Lego Minifigures that help the look. I teach Sunday School to preschoolers at my church and I use Legos to help with the task. The kids remember it and even want to have mom and dad look a the minifigures after the lesson is over.

This helmet looks fantastic and is great for customization. There is one problem though. I was making a stop-motion video with them and i found that grabbing them by the helmet to move them around was slightly painful because of the sharp spikes on top. It doesn't hurt much but after doing it for a while it will.
These are often sale items on the site, and I pick up a few with each order. They're great affordable helms for small fantasy military minis (I put them on my Lego skeleton figs.) By themselves, they're a bit exotic looking, but add the colored plumes, and you can differentiate squads, or just add some pizzazz to your undead horde, like I do.
It fits the soldiers perfectly well, great color(gold) and just looks fantastic with the plume.
I have to say that there are few helmets that are as versatile as this one. I put the plumes on regular philistine-esque infantry and a small golden statue on top of the king's golden helmet, to represent Hadad or some other ancient god. I have also used plain brown ones on bandits, militiamen and poor vikings to work as cheap leather helmets.
At one point, I even made an orc with a skull on top. So many options!
In the future, I would love to see more helmets with studs, maybe a stud and a small hole in it for regular plumes!
I attached a B-wing starfighter on top of my warriors helmet to ensure his heads safety, nobody has bothered him since. 10/10 most protective helmet.
