I've used Brick Warriors to outfit my western town, and I have to say, this is a clever solution to a tricky problem. These spurs slot into the holes on the bag of the minifigure leg - I bought 10 pairs, and every set was precision engineered to slot right in without stress or looseness. Since it is slotted in, it will turn or slide in a touch when nudged - but that's a reasonable cost for such a clever trick. It's adds an awesome and subtle detail.
